Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 18, 2008 — YouNeverCall Inc., a leading online provider of Wireless Cell Phones announced today the general availability of The Go Button a free Windows application that analysts believe will revolutionize wireless internet, by making it available free worldwide. The company’s Patent Pending technology enables internet users anywhere to connect to the nearest Wifi hotspot without the need to select a specific WiFi network. “While techies have always been able to find open wireless networks and connect, the majority of laptop owners find themselves frustrated when trying to connect to open wireless networks, especially in urban settings where they may be confounded by a great number of networks, many of which appear to be open, but will not allow internet access,” said Sam Michelson, VP of Marketing for YouNeverCall Inc.

TheGoButton extends Microsoft Windows’s own Wireless capabilities, simplifying the process of identifying and connecting to open networks. While there are many services and applications that provide maps of available wireless networks, ‘The Go Button’ (TGB) was created to solve a more pressing need. “We wanted to provide a solution for the businessman or college student who just needs to get online to read some email or Skype with his girlfriend” said Michelson. The Go Button is so easy to use that, once installed, you don’t even need to press a button, it simply scans the available wireless networks and finds the strongest open signal in your area. Once connected, users are able to use all internet features including Email, Chat, Voice, and full Web Surfing.

Controversy: While critics have called TGB, a ‘Wifi Stealer’, claiming that it will enable laptop users to more easily connect to their neighbors’ networks, YouNeverCall’s extended beta program suggests that the vast majority of users utilize TGB to access networks that are officially open to the public, or to which the user has permission. This is in accordance with the company’s terms of use. “By unlocking the wireless internet and making open networks easily accessible we believe more laptop users will be able to use Wifi effectively”, said a company spokesman.

Based on the immense interest in the product, YouNeverCall plans a version of TGB for Windows Mobile Cellular as well Mac OS.

Cisco IP phones provide unmatched levels of integrated business functionality and converged communications features beyond today’s conventional voice systems. The Cisco IP phone family includes phones with large pixel-based displays to bring productivity enhancing applications to the phone, as well as customization options that can be modified as needs change, and provide inline power support over Ethernet.

The Cisco IP Phone 7940G is multi-protocol enabled supporting Session Initiated Protocol (SIP), Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), as well as Cisco’s CallManager Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP).The Cisco IP Phone 7940G, a key offering in the IP Phone portfolio, addresses the communication needs of a transaction type worker. It provides two programmable line and feature keys, plus a high quality speakerphone. The Cisco IP Phone 7940G also has four dynamic soft keys that guide users through call features and functions. Built-in headset port and integrated Ethernet Switch are standard with the Cisco IP Phone 7940G. Also includes audio controls for full duplex speakerphone, handset and headset. The Cisco IP Phone 7940G also features a large, pixel-based LCD display. The display provides features such as date and time, calling party name, calling party number, and digits dialed. The graphic capability of the display allows for the inclusion of such features as XML (Extensible Markup Language) and future features. The 7940G is multi-protocol capable (SCCP, SIP, MGCP)..

Customer Review: Incredibly stable, powerful business tool
I recently oversaw the purchase and installation of Cisco CallManager and Cisco IP telephones. This was my company’s first venture into IPT and we did so with both guns blazing, so to speak. Our standard setup is the Cisco IP Phone 7940 series. This phone has proven itself to be rock-solid, stable and powerful. We have experienced 100% uptime with our VoIP telephones and response from users has been terrific. The 7940 has the perfect feature set for cost and provides the best access to phone features of any phone on the market. Setup is easy and with support for PoE, only one cord is required to place 7940s on desks (with the optional PoE switch from Cisco). If your company is making a move into IPT, I recommend Cisco and its products. They are expensive but if up-time is the mission, Cisco must be considered.

Today, with Frame Relay’s widespread popularity, major service providers around the world offer Frame Relay as one of their core services, and it has become an important technology for connecting data networks across North America, Europe, and Asia. In short, Frame Relay is a high-speed, high-performance, Layer 2 packet-switched technology designed for communication across WANs. Frame Relay is often described as a streamlined version of the X.25 protocol, and it can be implemented over a variety of other network interfaces, including ISDN. Frame Relay users have found that it provides a number of benefits over alternative technologies:

Lower cost of ownership

Well-established and widely adopted standards that allow open architecture and plug-and-play service implementation

Low overhead combined with high reliability

Network scalability, flexibility, and disaster recovery

Interworking with other new services and applications, such as ATM

Along with these benefits and the growing popularity of Frame Relay comes the need for information and solutions to design issues, implementation, quality of service, and high availability. To meet this need, Cisco Frame Relay Solutions Guide provides comprehensive coverage of Frame Relay technologies and the Cisco Frame Relay solutions developed in Cisco IOS Software from release 12.0 up to 12.2(T). Both Frame Relay beginners, who need to understand the technology, and advanced readers, who need information on the wide range of Frame Relay features Cisco offers, will benefit from this book. However, Cisco Frame Relay Solutions Guide is a useful design, implementation, and configuration guide for networking professionals of all levels.

This book is part of the Networking Technology Series from Cisco Press, which offers networking professionals valuable information for constructing efficient networks, understanding new technologies, and building successful careers.

Customer Review: CCIE Lab recommended reading; Good Frame Ralay reference!!
OSPF running in NBMA and in Hub-and-Spoke network topology (partially meshed networks) used to be a never land for me. I found it hard to commit the details of every possible changes in this topology into my long term memory. Before I found this book, I used to “memorize” gotcha as many as I can, and I always had hard time to answer my own why. Don’t mention configure it with confidence. A variety of Frame Relay interface types such as p2p, p2m, p2m non-broadcast, and multipoint just did not make sense. Do they come solely to mess up with us? Why can’t people make things simple and straight? Why is the correct configuration this way, not that way? Chapter 4 in this book answers all my questions about Frame Relay. Besides different verdor’s Lab Workbooks, it is really hard to find a good material like this book which explains Frame Relay and presents scenarios so well. I feel well worth the $40.

Customer Review: Great Topics, Average Depth
Jonathan Chin?s Cisco Frame Relay Solutions Guide (ISBN: 1587051168, Cisco Press) is a new book on an older WAN technology widely deployed in small companies, the enterprise, and service provider networks: Frame Relay. Although one might think that many Cisco Press Frame Relay books exist, there really are none that cover the technology comprehensively, including newer advancements in Frame Relay technology.

The closest document would be the Cisco IOS Wide Area Networking Configuration Guide found online or on the Cisco Documentation CD. Jonathan Chin takes many technical aspects and explains them in friendlier terms with IOS command examples and case studies to reinforce the theory. His book includes twenty-two chapters broken out into five major categories: ? Frame Relay ? Technology ? Frame Relay ? Policing & Shaping ? Frame Relay ? Traffic Management ? Frame Relay ? Congestion Management ? Frame Relay ? Congestion Avoidance & Signaling Just by looking at the major section headers, it is obvious that the book focuses on QoS strategies in a Frame Relay environment, and this is the real value and uniqueness of the book as it discusses updated modular QoS CLI (MQC) best practices in a Frame network. Frame Relay traffic shaping (FRTS) with low latency queuing (LLQ) and class based weighted fair queuing (CBWFQ) is a great example of a real world Frame/QoS strategy that is well documented in this book. FRF.12 fragmentation, compression, and FRF.16 multilink Frame Relay are other topics that Chin covers and helps to clarify their context and possible uses. Aside from QoS techniques, Chin also covers lesser known Frame Relay technologies such as PPP over Frame, Frame SVC?s, and X.25 over Frame. Lastly, Chin spends some time going through different ways to configure a Cisco router to act as a Frame Relay switch, and what types of QoS can be used in those scenarios. Again, the QoS sections of the book are good and helpful, although at times it seems that too many different topics are covered leaving less in-depth details for any one topic. Readers familiar with MQC will have a much easier time with the book than those who haven?t spent anytime working with or investigating QoS strategy. The major drawback to the book is that it includes some sections that could either be reduced or not included at all.

The first 90 pages are devoted to basic Frame Relay technology which in one sense is to be expected in a ?Frame Relay Solutions Guide,? but on the other is unnecessary given that the basics are well documented elsewhere. Chin works in the ?Fancy Queuing? techniques of Priority and Custom queuing on different occasions in the book, which at some level is more a topic of historical knowledge than real world practical. The MQC configs are much more valuable and applicable; more time should have been spent in those areas instead of priority queuing. The X.25 over Frame was a perplexing chapter as Chin states that ?the use of X.25 protocol on network backbones is fast becoming obsolete? (p.332). Again, interesting from a posterity perspective, but the reality is that X.25 is obsolete. Chin would have better served his reading audience by providing just two major categories: Advanced Frame Relay technologies (PPP, Frame/ATM, ELMI Switching, etc) and Frame Relay QoS technologies (FRTS, fragmentation, compression, RSVP, WRED, etc.). The Cisco Frame Relay Solutions Guide has good information for the small company up to the enterprise and even at the service provider level, especially as it pertains to QoS. Some of the other advanced Frame technologies may be useful at the enterprise level, but the coverage depth is too shallow for the service provider.

This is a good book to see what Frame Relay can do outside of configuring your standard PVC?s and when you need to deploy QoS. It is not comprehensive or deep enough, however, to stand as an authoritative source for Frame Relay.

The authors identify key threats to VoIP networks, including eavesdropping, unauthorized access, denial of service, masquerading, and fraud; and review vulnerabilities in protocol design, network architecture, software, and system configuration that place networks at risk. They discuss the advantages and tradeoffs associated with protection mechanisms built into SIP, SRTP, and other VoIP protocols; and review key management solutions such as MIKEY and ZRTP. Next, they present a complete security framework for enterprise VoIP networks, and provide detailed architectural guidance for both service providers and enterprise users.

Customer Review:
Good introduction to VoIP security. This book was useful for understanding VoIP security protocols, including somewhat obscure ones such as SIP over TLS. The threats section looks like it will be valuable for convincing managers to take VoIP security seriously. I used the book to evaluate Microsoft’s new VoIP products (I work for an analyst firm, Directions on Microsoft, that covers the company) and found it very helpful.

I wish that the book were organized to relate the threats and attacks to the countermeasures more clearly — I find it easier to understand a security protocol when someone shows me what attacks it can and can’t block. I’d like to see a book like this that focuses on SIP/RTP VoIP in more depth and leaves out H.323 — I know H.323 is more widely deployed, but SIP/RTP seems to be where the big vendors are headed. Still, these are minor quibbles — I would recommend this book to anyone who needs an introduction to VoIP network security.

Customer Review:
If you have any doubt whether VoIP is vulnerable . . .A quick read of the first 1/3 of the book will cure you of your doubts VoIP can be attacked forever! It was almost painful reading; exploit approach after exploit approach, but I mean that in a good way like the pain you feel in your muscles after exercise.

I was excited when this book came out, I have been following some of the author’s Thermos and Takanen work and I think they were the perfect team for this book. I feel that Chapter 3 and 4, threats and attacks and VoIP vulnerabilities are by far the strongest chapters and they alone are worth the purchase price of the book. The majority of the rest of the book is focused on mitigating controls and it is solid writing, solid research, but not quite at the level of the pen test side of the book.

Chapters 10 and 11 are invaluable to anyone considering a VoIP deployment including a deployment where you are depending on a service provider. The charts and diagrams are clear and easy to understand, the whole book team is to be commended for that, this is a complex subject. If you are even thinking about VoIP, you should read this book.

Covering Telecommunications, Networking, the Internet, Computing, and Information Technology

Most dictionaries are updated every 10 to 20 years. Not this one. Newton and his staff update this dictionary every day of the year and issue a new, expanded, fixed, improved, and updated edition every year. This edition is current as of he February 2003, with over 1,350 new terms defined since the last edition.

What’s new? This year telecom is passing some major milestones.

There are more cell phones in the world than landlines.

There’ll be more WiFi wireless deployed than in any other year.

More broadband connections will be installed than ever before.More industries will change their sales model from personal selling to Internet selling.

More sales will be conducted on the Internet than in any other year.

More calls will be answered and successfully handled by more call centers than ever before.

More video, audio and data conference calls will be handled over the Internet than in any other year.

More investors will tune into Internet web conferences to learn more about the companies they own.

More new telecom technology will be deployed this year — from gigabit Ethernet to SF1-5.

And more companies will discover telecom and the Internet as keys to their customer service.

That’s the good news. The even better news is that it’s now easy to stay on top of this ever-changing industry. The 19th updated and expanded edition of the best-selling Newton’s Telecom Dictionary explains all of these developments and rapidly evolving technology.

This book is the world’s favorite reference book on telecom, data communications, networking, computing and the Internet, with sales exceeding 600,000 copies. With over 21,000 definitions the 19th edition of Newton’s Telecom Dictionary weighs in at over four times larger than any other telecom and IT dictionary, and includes wireless, broadband, intranet, e-commerce and IT terms.

According to Discount Long Distance Digest, this dictionary “truly belongs on the bookshelf of everyone in the telecom industry. It’s worth every penny, and is pound-for-pound the best telecom book we have seen.”

Harry Newton, the author, deliberately wrote Newton’s Telecom Dictionary not as a technical book, but as a business book. Newton explains technical concepts in non-technical language that anyone in business can understand. This has made the book an essential reference tool to anyone writing or reading sales proposals or managing telecom systems and services.

This is not a problem for normal data downloads or data transfer, but for voice conversations it is critical that “packet” information is transferred without packet loss or latency.

It goes without saying that in order to run voice over a TCP/IP network, sufficient bandwidth is required. Most network services customers are familiar with the raw bandwidth of each of their connections. The key issue here is not to confuse “available” bandwidth with “total” bandwidth. For example, a T-1 devoted to data networking may have 1.5 Mb of raw bandwidth. That does not mean, however, that the entire 1.5 MB of bandwidth will be available for voice applications.

Packet Loss

Inherent in any network is the inevitability of “packet loss”. Packet loss refers to the percentage of data packets that travel the network then fail to reach their final destination. Packet loss can be tested and measured using network analysis tools. If you test and determine a packet loss of 3% or more, your existing network will not successfully handle voice traffic.

Keep in mind that packet loss increases dramatically when a network is overloaded with traffic. In fact, a network may even become unusable for voice applications when approaching their maximum bandwidth capabilities.

Jitter

Packets of voice information traveling across a network take varying amounts of time to go from one end to the other. This variation is referred to as “jitter”. The receiving end of a VoIP voice call “buffers” packet information so it can be played as a smooth and unbroken stream of voice audio. The depth of jitter (measured in milliseconds) can and should be measured. Always be sure that jitter settings match the behavior of the network. Dropouts may occur if the setting is too low, and delays in the audio will occur if the setting is too high.

Latency

The total amount of time it takes for a packet of voice information to get from one end of the network to the other is called latency. Latency is also measured in milliseconds. A latency of 200 or more milliseconds can result in echo, especially if the connections at the receiving end are not all digital. A latency of more than 400 milliseconds results in both parties of the call constantly “interrupting” each other, then waiting for the other person to finish. This situation is simply not acceptable for even the most patient of callers.

Codecs

There are many types of codecs available depending on available bandwidth and the quality of the audio that is desired. First determine the amount of voice data traffic you anticipate having, then choose the appropriate codec. The G.711 codec is widely used throughout North America and although it consumes up to 83 kB per second of bandwidth it provides toll-quality voice connections.

File downloads and other data transfers that occur at the same time as voice calls can easily interfere and even interrupt these voice conversations if the network is not configured properly.

It is the job of the routers to treat voice packet information in a special way. Without routers giving voice packets special treatment, they will almost always lose the battle when in direct competition with data packets. The configuration of routers to do this properly is called “Quality of Service”, or QOS. There are four types of configurations of QOS. Each provide different levels of efficiency for handling voice and data traffic simultaneously.

1) Best-Effort QOS
This configuration is the most inefficient and one that most network routers are configured by default. Voice traffic may sound fine with this configuration, although any large data downloads will easily interrupt voice conversations.

2) Differentiated Service
One way to solve the problem of competition between voice and data packets is to configure routers to simply determine the difference between the two types of information, then handle them accordingly. Differentiated service allows for routers to use different schemes for handling the two types of traffic.

3) Dedicated Service
Routers can be configured to ensure that sufficient bandwidth is always available for voice traffic. This configuration tells the router to never use the dedicated bandwidth for data transmission. Although it can be complicated to configure routers with dedicated service, it does a good job of eliminating the problem of data traffic interfering with voice communications. One major disadvantage, however, is that the “dedicated” portion of the network will go unused when there is no voice traffic.

4) Guaranteed Service
The most complex and expensive option to packet competition is guaranteed service. This configuration allows routers to set up dedicated but temporary bandwidth for each individual call. When a call has ended, the bandwidth then becomes available for other voice calls or data traffic.

The ability to use data networks for voice applications is an attractive one although not always simple and straightforward. Proper planning and testing will help you avoid the inevitable pitfalls of configuring voice applications over data networks.

Anyone over the age of 30 will remember the days when wireless phones were big and bulky with average reception and limited coverage at best. As hard as it is to imagine now, cell phones of yesterday had one function and one function only - to make and receive calls.

How times change…. Even the most basic cell phones of 2007 pack more computing and navigational power than was used on early NASA space missions!

And as you would expect, business people have become emotionally attached to their personal cell phones and wireless technological devices. So much so that there are now specialists treating addictions to advanced wireless devices such as the Blackberry and other e-mail capable “smart” phones. Studies have shown that addictions to cell phones and wireless Blackberry e-mail are as powerful as heroin addiction!

We have tracked down some of the latest cell phones and features that eventually you may not be able to live without. If you suffer from cell phone or PDA addictions, this list may make it that much harder to kick the habit.

If you have ever had a call “drop out” for a brief period of time, you will appreciate the introduction of the Wi-Fi cell phone. This handy device can automatically switch between conventional cellular and Wi-Fi VoIP modes - even during the course of normal conversation.

Dense urban areas that contain large buildings made of concrete and steel continue to pose problems for conventional cellular signals. These structures have a tendency to block the radio frequencies needed to maintain wireless call connection to a “repeater” - the device that picks up your signal and makes the call possible. If a phone is near the limit of a repeater’s range and the user walks from the outdoors to indoors, the call can easily be dropped out of the network.

The Wi-Fi cell phone eliminates this dropout by automatically and seamlessly connecting to the closest Wi-Fi hotspot. With Wi-Fi becoming more and more popular and widespread, look for many more handsets to carry this feature in the near future.

Introducing: The Breathalyzer Cell Phone.

The breathalyzer cellular phone is a handset that is equipped with a built-in device for detecting ethyl alcohol vapor on the breath. The Korean company LG manufactures a breathalyzer cell phone (LP4100) that is already in use by thousands of Korean customers.

Many predict this feature will be integrated into more handsets from a variety of companies sooner than later. The breathalyzer wireless phone is especially handy for the college-age crowd or for the business person who is required to constantly entertain clients or prospective clients. The breathalyzer cell phone will undoubtedly save lives as its use becomes more popular.

The newly equipped GPS phones are even able to give verbal directions in response to an address that is entered into the handset.

For salespeople, or for those whose jobs require them to travel to multiple destinations in one day, the feature could become highly addictive. On a personal level, keeping track of teens is as easy as handing them a cell phone.

There is one company that offers a service that allows users to form networks so that anyone in the network can alert everyone else in that network as to their current location. Eventually, GPS will be standard for all cell phones and wireless devices.

The “Screaming” Cell Phone

The screaming cell phone is a feature that allows for the cell phone handset to emit a noise similar to a human scream in the event that the phone is lost or stolen. Once reported, a system administrator can begin to render the scream through the use of a “kill switch”. Once the noise begins, the device becomes inoperable and all stored data is subsequently erased.

Although “screaming technology” does not prevent the theft itself or even the return of the handset, it does keep sensitive cell phone data out of the hands of the thief. As one would expect, it makes the perpetrator of the crime extremely conspicuous as well. This technology can be used with any portable device: cell phone, Blackberry, PDA, pager and even a notebook computer.

If so, the Personal Handyphone is for you. The only drawback is that you need to live in Asia to use it.

Developed over 10 years ago in Japan, the personal Handyphone now boasts over 70 million users. The device is simple: a lightweight and portable wireless telephone that functions as a cordless phone in the home and wireless mobile phone everywhere else. It can now handle voice, fax and even video signals.

Due out in June, 2007, the Apple IPhone may change the cell phone landscape forever. Navigation is as simple as flicking your finger across the screen. Of course the phone comes with Ipod functions and internet browsing capabilities. The ease of use of this phone is vintage Apple, a company that seems to make everything incrediby easy.

Critics say the Iphone will not live up to the hype it has created over the last six months. Maybe so, but Cingular, the contracted carrier for Iphone service, has already received millions of inquiries about the new phone. If the Iphone is as popular as the Ipod, Apple will force other cell phone manufacturers to follow their lead. Be prepared to spend some money if you plan on buying one. The Iphone is slated to carry a hefty price tag ($499-599) - (but is it ever a cool phone!)

It seems like every time you turn around there is a new wireless gadget making its way into our every day lives. Modern day society has managed to completely free itself from wired electronic devices - so much so that it is now possible to live and work from almost anywhere on the planet.

With the new year of 2008 in full swing, we thought it would be fun to put together a short list of some very cool wireless devices that you may pick up this year - sort of a “wish list” for the new year. Our top five wireless wish list choices for this year are:

#1 - Wireless VoIP Skype Phone

1984 witnessed the breakup of the ATT monopoly and the cost of a telephone call has been dropping ever since. Little did we know that the internet would provide the most cost-effective means of making a call. On the cutting edge of free and dirt cheap long distance calling is Skype.

Skype is the internet application that has allowed millions of people from across the globe to call one another right from their desktop PC. Now you can make free or or very inexpensive calls using Skype using only a wireless Wi-Fi connection. Skype has indeed gone mobile.

Success in any endeavor hinges primarily on one thing: getting things done. Ask any successful person how they became that way and chances are good that they will attribute a portion of their success to a daily regimen of writing and completing a “to-do” list. This handy tool can be simple or complex but the desired outcome is always the same: to increase effectiveness and efficiency of personal or work time.

The “to-do” list helps us stay focused. It serves as a timeline and scorecard for helping one achieve much larger goals. Without “to-do” lists we all run the risk of losing sight of the “big picture” - i.e. the desired goal that results when a series of tasks are completed.

When it comes to increasing efficiency and reducing expenses for telecommunications products and services within your business, certain tasks that could lead to success can often be delayed unnecessarily or even ignored altogether.

The following “to-do” list will help you stay focused on the goal of reducing and managing your corporate telecom expenses for 2007. It outlines the tasks to be completed, as well as a number of action steps to take immediately to help you get started. These action steps are intended to begin the process of completing the task. You will want to add your own action steps to the list as they arise. When you have completed the task, simply check it off.

Task #1:

Analyze Local Phone Service Plans and Regrade if Necessary

Getting a handle on local phones service charges is an important first step in helping to reduce and gain more control of your corporate telecom expenses. Many business owners make the mistake that telecom costs savings can be found in big ticket items such as long-distance services. Choosing the local service package that fits the usage patterns of your business is crucial for keeping costs down.

A telecom service contract is an easy way for a service provider to lock you into a predetermined rate structure and set of conditions for a specified period of time. The telecom industry changes constantly, however, and the conditions of a contract you agreed to 24 months ago may be totally outdated and costing you a bundle today. It is best to keep all telecom contracts handy and always know when they come due. You can often negotiate a new contract with an existing carrier before the old one expires.

Wireless usage is quickly becoming a larger part of corporate telecom expenses each and every year. No longer do employees simply carry cell phones - wireless PDAs and laptops have become indispensable tools for conducting business as well. Since virtually all wireless devices today have data transfer capabilities, keeping an eye on costs is crucial. The subject of wireless cost management is too broad a topic to cover here. (This topic will be the subject of a future newsletter) One task you can begin immediately however is the inventory all wireless devices.

VoIP seems to be the buzzword these days and for good reason - using data networks for voice traffic could save you a bundle. But as good as it sounds, it certainly does not fit every business situation. In many cases, making a complete transfer to a VoIP environment can cost a fortune and is simply not as cost-effective as vendors would like you to believe. It sure doesn’t hurt to find out though, since every situation is different.

Get FET Refund
The Treasury Department has finally given in and agreed to refund taxes for long-distance service billed to businesses for the period after February 28, 2003 and before August 1, 2006. For now, the refund only applies to long-distance services for landline and wireless service.

Any and all U.S. businesses and tax exempt organizations are eligible for the refund providing they were in operation at any time during the period from March 1, 2003 through July 31, 2006. This would include any corporate entity, S Corp., partnership, Trust, etc. In addition, the business must also have incurred phone expenses from April 2006 through September 2006 for it to be eligible for a refund.

Task #6:
Look into Outsourcing Telecom Duties Wherever Possible

Many companies now rely on outsourcing for a variety of non-core business activities. Telecom is one area where outsourcing can be quite cost-effective. Viturally any telecom function can be outsourced: everything from contract negotiation to moves/adds/changes to complete bill paying solutions.
“To-do” lists are only effective if you take the action steps necessary to complete the tasks. Try to block out a few minutes each week to focus and help you stay on track with your telecom cost-reduction efforts. The time spent is well worth it in the long run.
